CHANEL Fall Winter 2020 makeup collection Candeur et Experience Acte II

Why the new Chanel Fall Winter 2020 makeup collection Candeur et Experience Acte II is a big deal in the beauty community?

The new Chanel Fall – Winter 2020 makeup collection Candeur et Experience Acte II is about to drop in stores in the end of the summer. This collection is going to be a huge event for Chanel because it’s part two of their iconic Le Rouge collection No 1 released in 2016.

All Chanel lovers remember Lucia Pica’s first makeup collection for Chanel – Le Rouge collection No 1. The collection was released in the fall of 2016 with a huge marketing campaign. Until then all Chanel campaigns were clearly praising Coco Mademoiselle. All roads used to lead back to Coco Chanel and the whole story of the collections would revert to the emblematic codes of the House of Chanel.

New Era for the House of Chanel

When Lucia Pica created her first makeup collection in the Fall of 2016 everything changed. The whole campaign for the Fall – Winter 2016 makeup collection was centered around Lucia Pica and her love for the red color. That’s why it’s safe to say that Le Rouge collection No 1 was the  beginning of a new era for House of Chanel. Without doubt Lucia became the star of the House of Chanel leaving the iconic Gabriel Chanel somehow in the shadows. She didn’t erase Coco Chanel completely but the focus is usually on Lucia’s experiences rather than cherishing the past and the traditions of Chanel.

Now in the fall of 2020 Lucia Pica creates part II of her signature red collection – Candeur et Experience Acte II. Once again the new Chanel Fall Winter 2020 makeup collection will be dedicated to the red color. Back in 2016 most of the reds in Le Rouge collection No 1 were focused on the nails and on the lips. It was clear that Lucia was “testing” the audience and their response to the red color. The eyeshadow quad that she created back in 2016 Les 4 Ombres Candeur et Experience was featuring three brownish tones and one deep brick red color.  Even though there was a red color, Candeur et Experience was easy to wear palette.

This time Lucia Pica is making a bold statement. We are going to have two new eyeshadow quads that are praising the red color – Candeur et Provocation and Candeur et Séduction.

When the pink loses its innocence

In the new Chanel Fall Winter 2020 makeup collection we are going to see Lucia Pica’s take on the pink color. Of course, this is not going to be the classic innocent girly pink color. Lucia’s pink is a grown up raspberry pink tone that is more provocative and bolder.

I must admit that on the promo photos the two new eyeshadow quads Candeur et Provocation and Candeur et Séduction look quite similar leaving little room for those who shy away from red color. The good news is that Chanel will rerelease the old Candeur et Experience which contains three brown colors. As a Chanel collector I will definitely purchase the two new eyeshadow quads. I will show swatches on my Instagram page so make sure to follow me.

The new Fall Winter 2020 makeup collection will feature a new Baume Essentiel stick blush in a fresh pinkish red color. There will be two new Stylo Yeux Waterproof eyeliners and I definitely want these.

I’m very curious to see the reactions of the luxury beauty lovers. Are Chanel’s lovers tired of Lucia’s obsession with the red color? Is this going to be a hit or a miss? Let me know what you think in the comments below. 🙂

I think LP has done a great job overall, but yes, I am tired of her use of red. Mostly because I am allergic to red dyes and cannot use them on my eyelids at all. Also, I think that red eyeshadow tones are not always the most flattering look. I vote we transition back to greys as the next trend! 😉

Hi Angela. Love your You Tube chanel. I’ve been a makeup artist for Chanel for a few years. Obviously side lined due to Covid-19. Can’t wait for the new collection to launch and watch your review. Can’t wait to get my hands on the collection and to get back to work. Stay well and safe❤️?
