This preview of the Chanel Spring 2021 Makeup Collection ‘Les Fleurs de Chanel’ has become possible due to the sneak peeks released by several Asian beauty reviewers on Instagram. For that reason the photos that I am presenting to you are far from being perfect. What matters, though, is that we have a chance to assess at this very early moment the whole Chanel Spring 2021 Makeup Collection ‘Les Fleurs de Chanel’.
It consists of several items, including two Les 4 Ombres Eye Quads and a blush and a highlighter duo compact which certainly deserves a lot of attention. In addition to this Chanel Spring 2021 Makeup Collection preview I have already made a video on this collection. I recommend this video to you as it is quite short and it covers certain points which are not included in this preview.
Description of the Chanel Spring 2021 Les 4 Ombres Eye Quads
The two Chanel Spring 2021 Les 4 Ombres Eye Quads were quite a surprise to me. They include shades that are too earthy to my taste. Actually I like some individual shades in the two palettes. Yet, any palette should be assessed on the basis of its entirety. The value of any palette is in its aesthetics, practicality, and wholeness.
The two Chanel Spring 2021 Les 4 Ombres eyeshadow palettes were created by Lucia Pica. She is the global creative makeup and color director for Chanel. I was taken aback by the fact that Lucia Pica still relies on reddish shades. The Chanel Fall 2020 Makeup collection featured the Candeur et Seduction eyeshadow palette which zeroed in on the red color. Many Chanel makeup lovers severely criticized Lucia Pica for her obvious infatuation with the red and reddish shades. Hence, I was sure that Lucia Pica would do her best to distance herself from any red or reddish tones in her next makeup collections. But it transpires that this is not the case.
The negative reactions to the Chanel Spring 2021 Les 4 Ombres eyeshadow palettes
I believe that it should not come as a shock to Chanel that the initial reactions to the new palettes in the Chanel Spring 2021 Makeup Collection are rather negative. I cannot but agree that the two Chanel Spring 2021 eyeshadow palettes are too similar. What is even more disturbing to me is the fact that practically all colors present in the two palettes cannot be associated in any way with the spring and summer seasons. On the contrary, the two Chanel Spring 2021 eyeshadow palettes give me strong fall vibes. In my humble opinion, any spring collection should celebrate the arrival of the much expected season during which all plants revive, the weather becomes better, and people naturally become more optimistic and joyful. Alas, the two Chanel Spring 2021 eyeshadow palettes have failed to inspire.
The silver lining in the Chanel Spring 2021 Makeup Collection
The star of the Chanel Spring 2021 Makeup Collection ‘Les Fleurs de Chanel’ is without doubt the blush and highlighter duo compact. Lucia Pica deserves the credit for having designed such a glamorous product. The rosy shades of the blush and the highlighter complement one another just perfectly. The flower embossing looks nice and a lot of makeup collectors will be more than happy to add this piece to their makeup collections.
Preliminary verdict on the Chanel Spring 2021 Makeup Collection
I believe that the Chanel Spring 2021 Makeup Collection ‘Les Fleurs de Chanel’ will have modest success which will be due exclusively to the blush and the highlighter duo compact. Of course, I will buy at least a few items from the Chanel Spring 2021 Makeup collection and I will review them for you. So, please stay tuned 😊
