The first promo photos of the new Dior 2021 Spring Makeup Collection have been released on a few Asian accounts on Instagram. So, it is really exciting to have this opportunity to get acquainted with Dior’s makeup spring collection for next year because details about the Chanel’s 2021 Spring Makeup Collection were recently disclosed as well. The new Tri(O)blique eyeshadow palettes
Dior are coming out with two new Tri(O)blique eyeshadow palettes. The maker of these palettes is Peter Philips who is the creative and image director of Christian Dior makeup. I have always liked Peter Philips’s work because of his subtlety, sophistication, and verve. I was very much impressed by the beautifully crafted floral patterns on both Tri(O)blique eyeshadow palettes.
And then an instant association with the famous movie ‘The Devil Wears Prada’ occurred to me as I remembered the words of the petulant Runway fashion magazine editor-in-chief Miranda Priestly: ‘Florals? For Spring? Groundbreaking.’ Meryl Streep’s take on the character of Miranda Priestly was simply perfect and I am really sorry that not many movies about the world of fashion and luxury beauty were produced after the masterpiece ‘The Devil Wears Prada’. But let’s turn back to the two palettes in the Dior 2021 Spring Makeup Collection. It seems to me that flowers were the source of inspiration for both Dior and Chanel. No matter how trite and predictable flowers might look as a main motif for a spring makeup collection everything comes down to the detail and the overall performance of the palette. What bothers me more is the fact that the two Dior eyeshadow palettes are very similar to each other. They are not identical but both palettes have brown and pink colors. Without question I will buy both palettes from the new Dior 2021 Spring Makeup Collection. However, I strongly doubt that most Dior makeup lovers will choose to purchase both palettes.
The other products in the new Dior 2021 Spring Collection
There will be new Dior lip oils that will launch separately in the spring and new Dior Rouge lipsticks with different finishes – satin, matte, metallic, and velvet.
Dior will also launch a new Dior Rouge Clear Lip Balm.

Initial assessment of the new Dior 2021 Spring Makeup Collection
From what I see on the photos the two Dior Tri(O)blique eyeshadow palettes look a tad more intriguing than Chanel’s 2021 Spring Makeup Collection. Peter Philips usually makes romantic Spring Makeup collections. So, I am curious to see how these eyeshadows will perform. I have solid reasons to believe that the new Dior 2021 Spring Makeup Collection will be a success.
First, I personally like not only the two Dior Tri(O)blique eyeshadow palettes but also some of the other products in this new Dior Makeup Collection. Second, a good number of Dior lovers reacted positively to this collection in the comments to my YouTube video. So, we should be looking forward to the official premiere of the new Dior 2021 Spring Makeup Collection in the coming months. And you can rely on my writing of a full review of this much anticipated makeup collection.
